A to Z: The Ultimate Luxury Lifestyles List is duPont Registry Tampa Bay‘s annual compendium of the best our region has to offer. Each year we choose a different set of categories and then select businesses that are top-of-the-line in each category. This year: Art to Zinfandel (and everything luxurious in between).
Remember when Pass-A-Grille’s venerable Hurricane was the only game in town when it came to rooftop bars? Well, it’s still a good spot to watch the sunset from, but it’s got plenty of company in the aerial libations department, including a brand new neighbor — the Berkeley Beach Club, the gleaming new Corey Avenue establishment from Maryann Ferenc of Mise en Place fame, which in addition to guest suites features a lovely rooftop bar with a 360º view of the Gulf. Speaking of 360, the Hotel Zamora’s 360º Rooftop Lounge is another fine perch above the beaches, with a lounge menu reflective of the excellent quality of the hotel’s Castile Restaurant. In downtown St. Pete, The Canopy atop the Birchwood Inn is the place to sip cocktails while gazing at the bay. South Tampa stretches out as far as the eye can see when you’re imbibing at EDGE , the rooftop lounge at the Epicurean Hotel. An old favorite among downtown Tampa rooftops has been reborn under a new name; where once there was Fly Bar, there’s now Mole Y Abuela. And the newest addition to the rooftop scene literally hits the Heights: M. Bird, the restaubar atop the sprawling and wildly popular Armature Works in Tampa Heights.
